PAMELA McKEE SMITH has deftly
woven a story whose characters possess an authenticity of language
and culture born of the rural south she loves and knows so
well. She began her career in Hollywood as a member of Actor's
Alley Repertory Company where she co-produced and performed
in Tennessee Williams', "Suddenly Last Summer," winning
a Drama Critics Award for her portrayal of the tragic Catherine
Holly. She garnered rave reviews from the Los Angeles Times
and Dramalogue as Corinna in "The House of Blue Leaves" and Carol
Janus in "Scuba Duba," before returning to her farm in Columbia,
Tennessee to concentrate on her first love - writing stories steeped
in the rich lore of the region.
In early 2003, Ms. Smith and her
husband, Executive Producer, Paul Smith, formed Rally Hill
Productions, and partnered with Hollywood-based Hemisphere
Entertainment to produce "THE GRIFT."
